Welcome to EGYPTO Z

INSTRUCTIONS

Technical Guidelines for Dental Labs Using EGYPTO Z Zirconia Blocks.

Zirconia performance depends on correct milling, sintering, and handling.
To ensure consistent and predictable results, please follow the recommended guidelines below.
All instructions are based on international zirconia manufacturing standards and the technical behavior of the certified raw materials we use.

General Handling Guidelines

Before milling or shading, ensure:

Zirconia is stable, but improper storage or surface contamination may lead to defects after sintering.

CAD/CAM Milling Instructions

Machine Compatibility

EGYPTO Z blocks are designed for:

We recommend using:
● New or properly sharpened burs
● A milling strategy suitable for partially-sintered zirconia
● Stable machine calibration before milling

Milling Recommendations

To ensure clean milling:

Poor calibration or worn burs may cause chipping or marginal cracks.

1. General Handling Guidelines

Before milling or shading, ensure:

Avoid touching block surfaces with bare hands

Store blocks in a dry, dust-free environment

Keep blocks inside original packaging until ready for use

Confirm batch number & shrinkage rate from the label

Inspect block visually for cracks or edge damage

Inspect block visually for cracks or edge damage

3. Coloring / Shading Guidelines

(For labs using liquid infiltration)

Make sure the block is fully clean before shading

Apply stain evenly using controlled strokes

Avoid over-saturation to prevent internal stress

Leave the block to dry completely before sintering

Use stains compatible with yttria-stabilized zirconia

Inspect block visually for cracks or edge damage

Zirconia Information

Important Information

Different zirconia types (ST / HT / ML) absorb liquids differently.

We recommend making a sample for each new shade technique.

4. Sintering Guidelines

Because sintering curves vary across furnaces and depend on powder origin, grain size, and yttria percentage, EGYPTO Z provides:

Recommended sintering ranges

Heating

Holding

Cooling

Placement

Inspect block visually for cracks or edge damage

5. Shrinkage Compensation Guidelines

Every zirconia batch has a defined shrinkage value based on powder properties and processing.
To ensure accurate fit:

Confirm shrinkage rate printed on box

Enter value manually into CAD software

Avoid guessing or using shrinkage data from other brands

Stable shrinkage = predictable margins.

Why These Instructions Matter

Correct milling + correct sintering = stronger restorations, better translucency, reduced chipping, and predictable outcomes. EGYPTO Z is committed to providing guidance based on international zirconia standards while continuously expanding our R&D capabilities.
